Guardian staff is dedicated to providing "The Gold Standard in Home Health Care," which means that each of our employees commit themselves to giving the best quality of care to each of our clients. Our employees meet and exceed state requirements in both initial training and ongoing education. Below are just a few of our dedicated staff members.

Owners

Allan Borg

Allan co-founded Guardian with his wife, Sonya, with the dream of providing quality home care that respects the dignity of every client. Having previously worked in home care, Allan continues to enjoy visiting clients on a regular basis. Allan also enjoys meeting people and sharing the Guardian story, which he does during the free consultation offered to those interested in starting services. Outside of working with clients, Allan enjoys spending time with Sonya and their three children, hunting, and is a great lover of music.

Sonya Borg

Sonya co-founded Guardian and has been a strong presence in Guardian's development. Sonya wears many hats at Guardian, all of which she does exceptionally well. In the office, she ensures that all office work exceeds all standards. In addition, Sonya is a familiar face with clients and their families as she is often there with one of our RN's when setting up services and at regular followups. With her husband, she enjoys spending quality time with their children and traveling.

Office Staff

Dawn Alt

Dawn joined Guardian as our Scheduling Manager in April 2019 after many years in management in a customer service environment.

She skillfully creates schedules by matching client needs with caregivers' availability. Current clients can contact her to add or adjust their schedules.

Heidi Van Marel

Heidi joined Guardian in June 2019 as our Billing and Payroll Specialist.

She oversees and processes Guardian's billing and payroll as well as company spending. Employees and Clients can best get ahold of her via email to ask questions about their paychecks or invoices.

Samantha Hertell

Samantha joined Guardian in February 2020 as our Hiring Manager.

She is in charge of reviewing applications, creating job postings to meet our clients' needs, contacting applicants, conducting interviews and new employee orientations. Crystal Marvan, RN

Crystal joined Guardian in July 2020 as an RN and is our Director of Nursing.

Crystal oversees all of our registered nurses and makes sure that our client's needs are being met.

Morgann Lee

Morgann joined Guardian in February 2023 as our Training Manager.

She trains our CNAS and RNs to bring our clients the gold standard of in-home care.

Registered Nurses (RN)

Guardian In-Home Health Registered Nurses provide professional, compassionate care to clients in the comfort of their own homes. They assess health needs, create personalized care plans, administer medical treatments, and monitor progress to ensure optimal outcomes. In addition to delivering skilled care, they educate clients and families on managing conditions and using medical equipment, all while collaborating with other healthcare providers to offer a seamless, holistic approach. With a focus on maintaining independence and quality of life, these nurses bring expertise and a personal touch to every interaction.

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and House Staff

Our dedicated caregivers are the daily face of Guardian to our clients and commit themselves to providing the best care possible for our clients. Many of these caregivers are Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA's) with current certificates that are earned after a series of training sessions. In addition, Guardian holds training sessions both at the time of hire and throughout the year to help all staff to remain current in the best practices of home health care. All of us at Guardian are proud of the work that they do to ensure that each client receives the Gold Standard in Home Health Care.
